MW-16

Application
Checkweigher and conveyor re-engineered for different line heights at pouch former and case packer.

Features
Packages exiting a pouch former at near ground level needed to be checkweighed at standard (36”) line height before case packing. Standard Model MW-16 checkweigher provided with a unique inclined infeed conveyor. A food grade conveyor belt was identified as providing sufficient purchase (i.e., “stickiness”) to maintain the plastic pouches up an incline without sliding or slipping off.

Features
High precision Model HP-14 checkweighs individual product tins for the required number of pouches per tin. A general purpose CW-10 was supplied for weighing and quality control of multi-package display cartons.

PW-12

Application
Standard configuration of the Model PW-12 Checkweigher proved inadequate due to height and interference with the control panel of the other equipment. Additionally, placement of the checkweigher touch screen control panel required operating personnel to reach over open containers on the conveyor from the filler – providing possible contamination and spillage.

Features
The existing control components were re-positioned to an electrical enclosure immediately to the lower front, allowing the touch screen Human/Machine Interface (HMI) to be located at line height directly in front of the operator. Other controls (zone lamps, emergency stop/reset) were similarly re-positioned to be directly in front of the operator.

Package available for either factory upgrade or performed directly in the field for minimal disruption to production checkweighing.
